The rich red soils of the Coonawarra and an exceptionally long cool ripening
season have combined to give a very rich, supple yet full-bodied wine.
This wine has a bouquet with plenty of blackberry, mulberry and black
pepper. Two years in small American and French barrels has added vanilla,
caramel, and toast like characters.
Blackberry and plum-pudding like flavours are complemented by a minty aftertaste. The cedary oak flavours and silky tannins give great length to the palate. This wine can be enjoyed now or up to six years in a good cellar to see even more complexity.
