This wine aptly reflects the combination of the red soils and the prevailing
vintage conditions. Extremely low cropping levels and a long cool ripening
period have produced a wine which has cassis and mint, for which Coonawarra is
world famous; just jumping out of the glass.
Fermentation and maturation in French oak barrels has added mocha and roasted-nut like characters. The palate is richly flavoured with currant and plums. It's supple tannins and sweet fruit combine to give a wine which will remain great drinking over the next 5 to 7 years.
